Beerburrum to Nambour Rail Upgrade Project
Building Queensland delivered the completed Business Case to government in December 2016. The Business Case investigated duplication of the North Coast Rail Line on an improved alignment between Beerburrum and Landsborough and other upgrades to Nambour. This section of the North Coast Line is approximately 40 kilometres in length and consists of a single bi-directional line, with passing loops at stations only.

The provision of high-capacity public transport will allow the Gold Coast to accommodate forecast growth while preserving the attractiveness and liveability of the southern Gold Coast.
