Cairns Shipping Development
Building Queensland led the development of the Cairns Shipping Development Detailed Business Case in partnership with Ports North. The detailed business case investigated the widening and deepening of the Trinity Inlet shipping channel and swing basin to allow access for larger cruise ships and naval vessels. It is also investigated the establishment of a new swing basin to support future expansion of the HMAS Cairns Navy Base and structural upgrades of the existing wharf infrastructure.
The detailed business case was completed in Q2 2018.
